Catch Fleet · Alfa

Collect the invisible world.

Real aircraft, real radio signals, your own antenna: a collection game powered by ADS-B reception.

How it works

01

Get a receiver

Any cheap SDR dongle (about $30) that can hear 1090 MHz works. RTL-SDR is one popular example, not a requirement.

02

Point an antenna at the sky

The stock antenna in most kits works on day one. Building a better one is cheap (two pieces of copper wire), and catching farther is part of the game.

03

Run the Listener

Your station keeps catching while you live your life. Come back to new unlocks in your Dex whenever you like.

Open development

Catch Fleet is built in the open. It's early, Generation Alfa, and updates land frequently. The roadmap, the devlog and every catalog decision are public on GitHub.

Why Catch Fleet exists

The sky above you is full of voices. Every airliner on your horizon is broadcasting its identity, its position, its story on 1090 MHz, to anyone who cares to listen. Most people never do.

This is not a flight tracker. Trackers show you everything, instantly, and nothing feels earned. Here, only your own antenna counts: every aircraft in your Dex physically flew through your sky, and your hardware caught it. A better antenna honestly means a bigger collection.

The aircraft are just the beginning. If this game makes you look up, or better, makes you build an antenna, it's working.

Who's behind this

I'm Meriç Şeker (TA3DIY), an amateur radio operator from Bursa, Turkey. I stumbled into this hobby through TA2AWR's YouTube channel, bought a cheap RTL-SDR dongle, and was mesmerized: suddenly the 'empty' air around me was full of aircraft announcing themselves. I started keeping a catalog of every plane my little antenna heard. That catalog grew into this game.

My hope is simple: that someone, especially someone young, sees Catch Fleet, gets curious, plugs in an SDR, and steps into the invisible world. And maybe, one day, picks up a callsign of their own.
