The stretched 737 Classic filled the gap between the -300 and the NG era. Passenger examples are gone from most skies, but freighter conversions keep the type alive on night cargo runs.
The Classic's giveaway is the older, rounder nacelle and bare wingtips: no 737-400 ever wore winglets.
