About this type
The longest 737s of the NG era. The original -900 sold poorly; the ER version added exits and fuel to finally take on the A321, and Delta, United and Alaska bought it in bulk.
The Dex treats both as one type because their shared designator cannot be told apart from the signal alone, honest uncertainty in action.
First flights: August 3, 2000 (-900) and September 1, 2006 (-900ER).
The ER's extra exit pair allows up to 220 seats.
The longest 737s until the MAX 10.
