About this type

The longest single-aisle twinjet ever built: 54 meters of 757. Only 55 were made, and the survivors haul dense leisure routes where its combination of seats and range still has no true replacement.

That absurd length on a narrowbody gear makes rotation look dramatic; spotters call the family the flying pencil.

First flight: August 2, 1998.

Only 55 built, all still cherished by their operators.

Icelandair and Delta kept the type famous.
