About this type
The original Dreamliner brought composite fuselages, big dimmable windows and bleedless engines to long-haul. The -8 is the smallest of the family and the one that opened thin long routes worldwide.
The four-serration chevron nacelles and gently flexed wing give any 787 away at altitude.
First flight: December 15, 2009.
Roughly half the airframe by weight is composite.
