About this type
The longest fuselage of the original A320 ceo family, the A321 was stretched to carry trunk-route crowds. Double overwing exits and a long body make it easy to separate from an A320 on the horizon.
For years it lived in the 737-900's shadow, then the neo generation turned the A321 name into Airbus's hottest seller.
First flight: March 11, 1993.
Assembled in Hamburg, unlike the Toulouse-built A320.
The stretch added about 7 meters over the A320.
