About this type
The original A330 is one of aviation's great workhorses: a big twin that hauled Asia's dense regional trunks and Europe's holiday routes for three decades and still fills the evening sky.
Its 1992 first flight came just weeks apart from its four-engined twin sister, the A340, built on the same wing and line.
First flight: November 2, 1992.
Developed in parallel with the A340 on a shared wing.
Over 700 -300s were delivered, the most of any A330 version.
