About this type
The current small ATR pairs the classic airframe with a glass cockpit borrowed from its bigger sibling. It exists for one mission: the world's shortest, thinnest, most stubborn routes.
The -600 series' giveaway is on the flight deck, not the skin, so ADS-B evidence is exactly how you tell one from a -500.
First flight: March 4, 2010.
Shares its avionics with the ATR 72-600.
An STOL-optimized 42-600S version was developed for tiny runways.
