The -200 kept the small Dash 8 body and added more powerful engines for hot, high and heavy work. It is the specialist's specialist among regional turboprops.
Survivors cluster around demanding niches: surveillance conversions, island freight, mountain strips.
First flight: 1995 (as the re-engined -100 successor).
Same size as the -100 with substantially more power.
Several serve as maritime patrol conversions.
