About this type
The longest first-generation E-Jet pushes the family to its limit: a 124-seat regional jet that low-cost carriers used to open thin routes cheaply. Azul built its network on them.
Its extra stretch over the E190 is subtle from below; sighting counts and route patterns often tell you more.
First flight: December 7, 2004.
Azul in Brazil was the type's spiritual home.
The largest Embraer until the E2 generation.
