About this type

The little jet that built Embraer's airliner business: a 50-seater that replaced turboprops across America in the 2000s. Hundreds still connect small cities to hubs.

Three-abreast seating and a pencil-thin fuselage make its radar-side identity far more common than its glamour.

First flight: August 11, 1995.

Over 1,000 ERJ-145 family aircraft were built.

Its wing came from the EMB 120 lineage, heavily evolved.
