About this type
The Pegasus is the 767 reborn as a tanker: a modern boom operator station with remote vision replaces the old sighting window, and the airframe doubles as freighter and medevac.
Based on the 767-2C, it keeps enough airliner DNA that your resolver may feel briefly nostalgic.
First flight: September 25, 2015 (KC-46 configuration).
Boom operators fly the boom from screens, not a rear window.
Selected to replace a large share of the KC-135 fleet.
